Las Vegas Resort Adds Americana-Themed Attraction to Its Project
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 18, 2007 -- Red, White, & Blue are coming to Las Vegas! WET Holdings, Inc. (www.lasvegaswet.com), and America in Miniature, LLC (www.americainminiature.com), agreed to jointly develop the America in Miniature park on the site of a 200+ acre resort, known as Las Vegas WET, to be developed in Las Vegas.
?American in Miniature is exactly the type of attraction that we wanted for our resort?, said WET Holding?s CEO, Steve Dooner. ?This Park will be fun, memorable, and offer a marvelous experience. A mixture of the 4th of July and Mardi Gras every day.?
Celebrating Amazing America!
America in Miniature has designed a state-of-the-art attraction that features high quality, authentic replicas of famous American landmarks and highlights its varied culture -- food, music, and industry -- a celebration of the many things that are uniquely special about the United States. Built on a scale of 1:24, the landmarks are of an impressive size, such as the Empire State Building (48? high ? over four stories tall), the Gateway Arch (26? high), and the White House (4? high and 20? wide). Many of replicas will be interactive and dynamic, and there will be moving cars, trains, planes, and ships.
America in Miniature will be built indoors, in a climate-controlled environment that eliminates weather issues and enables special effects, including changing the Park from day-to-night-to-day so that guests can experience both exciting times. This Park will deliver a unique Americana experience. Although some of us have been fortunate to travel throughout the U.S., most Americans and foreign tourists have seen relatively little of this great country. It will be ?One Nation Under One Roof?. Las Vegas is a great market for this Park as both domestic and international tourists come here seeking to enjoy a truly American experience.
Worldwide Success
Although America in Miniature?s concept is new to the U.S., similar parks have been successfully operated in Europe and Asia for over 75 years. There are approximately 40 parks around the world, in over 25 countries, with new ones opening nearly every year due to the expanding appeal of such parks.
Management
America in Miniature?s management team has over 70 years of theme park business experience, both domestically and internationally, including senior positions with the Walt Disney Company, Knott?s Berry Farm, and Mini Israel, as well as several other Fortune 500 companies. Management?s experience also includes numerous start-up operations, particularly in the theme park industry.
